Option No. 3

This is a huge two-story house located miles from anything. The home was built in a Japanese style, for reference think of the movie "Karate Kid 2." This means sliding doors and a loft on the third floor. It has a patio on the second floor, but an extremely small kitchen. The refrigerator is tiny and there isn't an oven, only a stove. Only one bathroom. But there is a huge workroom where we could store a lot of stuff. The view is of sugar cane and sweet potato fields. The neighborhood is very quiet and this is an opportunity to experience the Japanese lifestyle.

No oven?!? How are you going to make cupcakes and pies? Although it sounds otherwise awesome, I don't think I'd enjoy living in a tranquil, peacefull place if I couldn't bake. If you choose this one, I'm sending you an Easy-Bake Oven ;)

You updated your options!! I still vote for the one I said before. You could live without an oven for three years or you could get one of those counter type things that is supposed to cook like an oven. Think like a Boy Scout :)

Oh yeah, I was told that if you can't get pics to upload on here, you might have run out of "space" in what they allot you. Apparently, you can set up a free account with PhotoBucket and can hyper link them to your blogger account

I vote for this one!
you pretty much sold me with the Karate Kid bit though.....

which ever you choose I'm sure it will totally rock, just make sure there is a guest bed!

No oven? I'll bet there are some people over there that will teach stir-fry.

sorry... I wanted to add something in my post...

No oven... no way. no aspargus/ham rolls--think about it.

the cupcakes and aspargus rolls are all valid concerns. Maybe I could become good friends with someone with an American oven and cook at their house ....

And don't worry, Cliff, Benny is already signing me up for Japanese cooking classes.
