I'm pleased to report that we arrived in Okinawa, Japan, at 12:30 a.m. on April Fools Day safe and sound.
The 12-hour flight wasn't as bad as I expected. I slept and ate well on the plane.
We survived our first day living here. Everything went well. The people are extremely helpful and friendly. My only disappointment: my first meal in Oki was a Alamaba pulled pork sandwich at Nap's BBQ (the same restaurant we have on base at Port Hueneme).
Stay turned for details.

So you're a day ahead of us there? Or like 12 hours ahead?
Find that camera and give us pictures, hahaha!
What's the future like?
oh - have you seen my photos of the Navigator? Its the on-base restaurant here and it'd make you want to come visit. I suppose that is out of the question now that you're in japan... sigh. Anytime you want to try those A-space flights Michelle you let me know!
